If you knew something that you knew would hurt someone would you tell them? Like if you knew your friend's mom was cheating on her husband? Or if the guy/girl she/he likes thinks she is hideous? I pretty much tell the truth no matter what, even if it will hurt your feelings. it may make me mean, but hey I would rather you tell me I look fat in it that a complete stranger. In high school my friend liked this guy and he said that she was ugly and that when they hooked up he had to put a pillow over her head because he could not look at her face. I was like jerk. I told her what he said, because it was not fair that she thought it was some kinky thing. I did not want her to be hurt worse by him. Would you tell the truth?

I am unable to understand your question.. LIE means to tell false things or it means SLEEP.. for both the meanings I have not done for protecting somebody...

Would you tell someone teh truth even if you knew it could hurt them? Or would you choose to be dishonest?

Yeah, I'm more in favor of being direct. I hate when people beat around the bush or tell white lies. I can see right through them and it's so frustrating! You can always tell when someone's lying or evading the truth. Being lied to is kind of insulting. I'd rather have someone just say it to my face. If I were you friend, I'd want to know what that guy said. It's bad enough that the guy was a jerk--it's even worse to have a friend lie to your face, even if it's with the best intentions. That's not to say that we shouldn't care about hurting people's feelings. There are ways to express the truth without being overly blunt. For example, if my friend wanted to know what I thought of her sweater, I wouldn't say "ewww it's horrible! you look like a clown." I might say, "I liked the other one better."
