Sylvia Plath's "The Bell Jar"

So, I just finished rereading The Bell Jar today, and I was wondering if anyone else has read this novel. It seems to be well known yet obscure at the same time. I can't seem to find anyone who can really talk about. What I wonder most is, if you have read it, do you feel Esther's insanity is rational? It was kind of scary rereading and sort of feeling the same way she does. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts!
