China is best know as the "Bicycle Kingdom",in the past,there were at least three to four bicycles for one family.After China opened the door to the outside world,with the fast development of the Chinese economy over the past two decades or so, more and more ordinary Chinese can afford to buy private cars,this has led to a sharp decrease in the number of people riding bicycles in many cities, anyway,even now,Beijing does has at least 9 million bicycles,most people will ride bicycle to the entrance of subway,the by subway to work. Now in Beijing,we have about 15,000 public buses and it is very easy to tell which bus runs in the downtown area,which goes to the nearby couties. And on the other hand,we habe a totalo of 80,000 taxis in Beijing,accounting for 12 percent of the city's ground transportation, 10 yuan for the basic price,2 yuan/km. We can say we have safe taxis car, safe driver and safe price.In the next few years, all of Beijing's taxis will equipped with GPS.By 2008,80% of Beijing taxic will use natural gas. Anyway,the traffic in Beijing is bad,but I think it will be better in 2008.Welcome ereryone in the world to Beijing.
