It is often said, "A friend in need is a friend indeed." A true friend is certainly always more valuable than any other asset. What is your view on this concept?

My thinking is in line with Mahatma Gandhi's saying : "True friendship is an identity of souls rarely to be found in this world . "

I'm not sure if this concept is true or not. I think a true friend is very valuable but I don't know if it's the most valuable asset. My daughter is the most valuable asset to me over anything.

well, that friend who is in great need for you at the moment, will be so hard to shake off. unless, you will help him in what it is that is bogging him. so, for the moment that he needs you, he is such a clinging friend. after he has taken or received whatever is it that he needed, there is no guarantee that that friend will ever come back. unless of course, if he has the temerity to show his face again to you, next time that another need arises. i don't know though if you will welcome for a friend, anyone who is like that. for me, once is enough, so please, get off my back please as regards a second time.
