Playing in the leaves

I've only done that a few times and it was when I was 10 or 11 years old. I would still do that if I didn't know how many bugs/spiders there can be in those leaves...I don't mean to put a downer on the Fall season but I can't help thinking about that when I think of a pile a leaves!

oh i loved doing that when i was younger!! I cant wait to do that with my son when he gets a little older!!

I love the smell of the leaves when they fall off the trees. Also the crunching sound when anyone walked on them. We didn't have many leaves in the yard when I was little, because of the type of trees around. I don't even remember my dad raking leaves, but I remember mom sweeping them off the sidewalk. My kids always enjoyed playing in the leaves. Which I never understood. They thought it was fun to pile them up and roll in them, throw leaves at each other, even make forts to hide behind. But, to pile them up and put them in a bag or in a pile to burn? Haha, that was work not fun and they would complain. lol

Hey Scooter-I wanted to tell you about this! I've been using our leaf blower to clear the leaves away from our front yard (since the leaves have been falling I've been blowing them into this area we have to the side of the house) but today I blew them into our back yard and then raked them into a HUGE pile....then jumped RIGHT INTO IT! :D :D Sure, I got up quickly and brushed myslef off immediately after landing and was convinced there were spiders all over me, but other than that, it was SO FUN!! I forgot how fun it was.... The next time I'm out leaf blowing I'm going to make another!

I'm still a big kid at heart so I love to do stuff like this. It keeps me feeling young. I'm not that old but if you dont do things too keep you active you start feeling the age.
