Our Government schools here is excellent as all the teachers are well trained before they are allowed to teach in Government school. To encourage better results in G'ment schools the g'ment pays the teachers very well, on par with other professions. Private schools charges high fees and not everyone can afford it. They have the same syllabus as g'ment school. I do not see the need to send children to private school as the fees too high. G'ment schools here are free so we can afford to send the kids to private tuition if something is lacking in g'ment school. I switched my son from private school to g'ment school when he was in secondary 2 and now he is already working as a geophysicist. Why waste money by sending to private schools when he needs a lot of money when he reaches university. Save it for that college studies. It is more important.

Hi skbadhan, for me, what is important is they can deliver students with good result. Here in my country, rich parent prefer to send their children to private school. Private schools are more updated compared to government school. The government schools are also good here.

I have two children my eldest daughter graduated last april from private school and happy to say that she learned alot coz the standard of teachings are more higher than the government school only the cost are very high. My younger daughter attend school in government school and shes in grade school now, we can't bring her to private school because really we can't afford now a days every year the cost of private school gets increase. In fairness to our youngest daughter we told her that even we can't bring her to private school we still provide what she need in her best education like instead of paying too high in private we bought her a pc for her studies and we bought her some books she loves to read, she even enrolled to drawing classes.

Hi, My husband and I agree about our son`s education to be a home school. We do our best to teach him the right way in living, good manners, being a christian and other good things to teach himand help the child to grow in a good way.

Home school is where you are the teacher of your kids. You will buy books just like in school books, your lessons are mostly same from school. But at the end of the year your child take a test that the government give to your child and if your child pass he can go to next level.

i dont have much ideas about private schools because i am a product of government school. but they have much more facilities as looking from out side, in my sate the people is not so crazy about private schools, but i know that in near future teachers of government will wait for students in cities but in rural areas the government schools is the only option for parent and student. But the main thing outcome depend only on student he can prove him/herself in a goverment school and without tution also, i know few of them those proved themself for a government school also.

We have some issues between private and public. Since private has so much better funding, they're the ones with the resources, and are therefore more attractive and, in almost all cases, a lot more competitive to get into.
I think the issue for a lot of parents is controlling the quality of the education. As a result, with the cost and access to private school being such an issue, more and more parents are turning to homeschooling as a means of controlling their kids' educations. While it doesn't necessarily offer the same range of opportunities and benefits that the well-funded private schools offer (simply because of the amount of money coming in and the standards they need to keep), it does offer a lot more flexibity and a chance to teach in a way that is specific to the needs of the children, and better able to meet their individual requirements, stengths, and weaknesses.

I do not have any children right now but i would prefer to send them to private schools. The facilities available are just much more in private schools with more attention per student by the teachers. A lot of extracurricular activities are also focused on in private schools which I believe are not focused on in governemt schools.

I always have been preferring Private Schools. They are much more suiting to our children. Govt. School teachers / staff never bother about the future of your children. .....dspatiyala....

For future of a child there is no compromise . with my experience both gov and private can be good or bad. it Depends on the faculty that how will the carve out a good person from a child .Some govt schools are outstanding but Private school do have an edge over govt. ones

You are right.Government schools in India are totally neglected by government in providing proper infrastructure and teachers to educate the students join there.I have heard through many of my friends educated there.
I will educate my son/daughter in private school where complete education with full capability to overcome the future is taught to children.

I've been to both, and I must say.. Government schools are so much better for a more ''friendly'' way.. In Private schools, there's too much what I'd call, strictness. Kids can't be kids while they are there. They have to be adults. That's not what childhood should be about in my opinion. In Government schools, people say they don't learn, and trust me, they all learn. I say, Government schools are for the poor, and rich kids go to Private schools, and become more stick up. heh.

Here there is government/public school, private school, or homeschool. Though in some areas homeschooling is classified the same as private school. I plan to homeschool my children to make sure they get the best education suited for them.

If I had children in school, I would prefer a private school, but the cost would be prohibitave for me so they would be in public schools. Public schools are not the best but that is something that the child can deal with. Any school has to provide the right teachers and learning materials.

i prefer in a government school because a lot of students are in a scholarship. meaning students in a government school have a target grade of at least 90 above for every subject. government school tend to get intelligent students. so to say i prefer government schools rather than private schools because the manner of teaching in government schools is extraordinary. Superb. If my child is in a government school it means he is intelligent. so i quote...

We need not bother much as to whether the School is Private or Govt. if the school does its work properly.
Usually the Government schools have a tentency to become irresponsive since the teachers and other staff are not answerable to students or parents.
Where as Private Schools run on merely profit motive, are sure to turn into centres of exploitation.
If there is strong public opinion, both private and Govt. will have to do their work properly.
In India the public opinion is divided on almost every issue. Language, region, cast, community, party politics.....etc. come into play and both Private and Govt. school working is negatively affected.
