Those ads on TV to text a 1300 number to find the name of your perfect lover! For goodness sake are people that stupid? I bet you the name Garfield will never come up as a perfect lover? Desperate or stupid? I want to smash the promoters for this type of crap.
Would you like to have your say?

Hi I smiled when i read ur comment on Garfield. The only thing i can say is most of those people had difficulties in getting their match in real life. I believe some of them tried so hard but were never successful. They have found a refuge in TV text channels and in the internet as well hoping their dreams come true. Things don't work this way.
Those people are two types: some tried 2 find their lover in real but could not be successful and that's why they're doing this TeXTing thing, the other type: people who did not try enough in real life and just found it easy 2 type a Text or so, they may have their reasons for it but the fact is they did not try enough.
The problem with this TV and net thing you're only dealing with electronic friends who are hiding under a nick and smileys. When you get 2 see those people in real, so often you find a different story. I myself knew some people who spent most of their time online name it chat lines or whatever just 2 find their soulmate or whatever. It may work for one or two but generally it doesn't.
It's not the promoters, i mean, if those people got a chance, help or a way 2 look for their match in real life, they wouldn't have wasted their time on this. Sometimes we can't blame those people 100% i mean they take part of the blame or let me say big portion of it but there are other factors that we can't overlook.
Thanx 4 the post

Thanks deadraven for your comprehensive response and I can't disagree with you. It is very commercial though. Well of course there is a market out there for this type of thing. But saying you can find the name of your lover using numerology and astrology - wow! And then to text to find out and pay for the privilege. It's entertainment I suppose. Maybe I'm just old fashioned. But it's the tone of the adverts that just reeks of getting money for nothing.
The world she is changing!

I never heard of that one, i guess we do not have this service in my country, because they know no one will phone. Lol.
But i know that we have alote of matching companies, and people are calling those numbers, and meeting with other people.
I guess i will too, if i won't find my match with in a few months. Lol.

Desperate is the only word that comes to mind! Poor souls!
By the way I'm signing of now, it is the Big Rugby day. The Sharks are playing the Blue Bulls after defeating Australia and New Zealand, are you a rugby fan?

I think this is the type of thing that we used to do as teenagers! but then it was harmless and some type of prank rather than expensive text costs - people who get involved in this are obviously vulnerable and this type of business should be closed down for good instead of being allowed to take advantage of people who obviously have emotional or mental instabilities! xx
