When or What day do you get your finger nails done or cut?

Hello! I just found this melody, the finger nail melody and brought me back to old memories and traditions. This melody is about when or what day to cut your nails and if you keep cutting them on that said day your wish will come true. Sounds silly isn't it, but this is the way it was done along time ago.
Cut them on Monday, you cut them for health
Cut them on Tuesday, you cut them for wealth
Cut them on Wednesday, you cut them for news
Cut them on Thursday, a new pair of shoes
Cut them on Friday, you cut them for sorrow
Cut them on Saturday, see your true love tomorrow
Cut them on Sunday, ill-luck will be with you all week

I just bite mine--bad habit I know, but if they grow, they break off. I have very weak nails.

yikes! that's a bad habit. my husband does that and i usually ask does it taste good? and he smiles back at me and stop doing it :).

i like short nails better than long nails. if ever i find my nails are long enough and can already be cut, then i cut it immediately. i don't have any particular day when i should cut it.
i like your 'poem' (?), i think i'll copy and memorize that.

I have no fixed days for cutting my nails. I cut them whenever i feel that they need to be cut. The same is the case with my children. I check their nails everyday in the morning before they go to school and cut them if needed. I do not believe that they can bring fortunes or misfortunes.

i cut my finger nails everytime i see that it is long but i used to cut and clean my finger nails on my feet everyday two weeks and put some nail polish :)

My nails are long, but not too long and I clean them up everyday
I don't go anywhere to get my nails done
I clean them up, I cut them, I paint them all by myself
As I said, I clean them everyday but I cut and paint them once a week

I cut mine when they need it. I cut the baby's every few days. Guess I should never cut on Sunday though huh?
