have you tried disguising them? i mean add cheese sauce..or putting them in certain dishes ..as your child will get the benefits of the vegetables without even knowing it..like you could make veggie fritters, or hide them into a lasagna, or top pizza with some goodies..if your child like fruits push those too..they are basically the same nutrients getting into your child..
hope this helps!

the best way to go about this is to start early on as in infancy. but since he is six...that is not an option right now..lol.
i havent really had that problem with my kids because we have always eaten veggies every day since they were young but my 4 yr old has been protesting a little lately. must be the age...lol.
one thing to try is cheese on broccoli. most kids love that. also...try fried mushrooms. i know...mushrooms arent the most healthiest veggie and frying kind of takes out the fact that you are eating a veggie but that may help to get him into other veggies.
also...try sneaking veggies, chopped up small, into casseroles. if you eat pasta with sauce, use a sauce that claims it is a full serving of veggies like ragu or prego. the garden veggie one is great. it doesnt have chopped things in it, like lumps of veggies. my kids just love it.
if your son likes egg omelets, try putting some chopped mushrooms and green peppers in it. chop it up fine though so he wont see it and say no way..lol.
good luck. i have never heard of a child dying from not eating veggies during childhood so dont worry too much about it. he will eat it when he is older.
