When I was starting to sing. I felt I have the most beautiful voice. But when a friend tried to record my voice while I was singing. It opened my eyes to the truth that my voice is a disaster. But it didn't stop me from singing. I just keep on singing and immitates every singer I hear...
Now I can say that I have a beautiful voice. I love to record my voice to hear myself singing.

I have sung all my life, and have always been told I could. Until I got married. My husband is the only person, to my surprise, who doesn't like my singing. It stopped me in my tracks one day when I was belting out one of my usual crowd-pleasing numbers, in the shower (with no crowd, of course). No matter. There's a karaoke bar downtown where on Friday nights, a dozen perfect strangers call out my name in joy.

i feel ya...i mean, even talking i thought i sounded different. i think everyone who sings don't really like what they hear because they hear something different when they do. i've recorded myself a few times and it sounds so funny. i sound so young and my voice is so much higher then i hear in my head. but if you love to sing, then just sing...be honest with yourself on where you stand. music is good for yourself.
