Is it safe to give our credit card number?

I joined cashcrate.com a couple of days ago. Today as I was completing offers, I was asked to mention my credit card number in one of the column. I hesitated to do so. Is it safe to give our credit card number?

I acquired my vcc's from my bank but you can search because there are so many websites offering vcc but they are expensive. So I think you inquire from your bank first, I'm sure they also have.

if you are not sure about it, you can use virtual credit card. I'm also a member of cashcrate so everytime they ask me my credit card, I enter my vcc it's more safe.

Myself I wouldn't be that jumpy to give out credit card info to sites like that as it definitely comes with a risk.
