What you want to do if you were in a coma?

If the unimaginable happen, like if you have a serious accident which led to a coma, would you want your family to unplug the machine and let you go or not and be like a vegetable for the rest of your life?
The accident is very serious and the doctor don't know if you will ever wake up or not, and if you do you will still be like a vegetable. Would you want to live or not? What do you want your family to do in this case?
I know this is very farfetch. But many people don't know what to do and they make a will just in case. Have you ever thought of this thing? It will be easier if you tell your family what to do so when it comes they won't have to scratch their brain and hope they are doing the right thing.

Sometimes letting go is a good thing. No one wants that sort of thing to happen but it happens. And we need to make a decision even if it's so tough to do. That's why having a will beforehand is very important.
Thanks for the response. ^_^

I have discussed this with my family. There are certain elements involved in making this decision. If I were just in a coma, and not really suffering I would want them to let me live so they could visit me; but if I were suffering a lot and in pain I wouldn't want them to keep me here indefinitely. I am not an advocate of life-support if the patient is in great difficulty.

Thanks for the response. I hope I could live to be 60 and have no regret. Suck the marrow out of live while you still can. Carpe diem. =D
