I am just beginning to discover opportunities for writing for money on the internet. What are the best sites for this?

I provided a list of good sites to check, some of which are job boards, in another discussion of yours. While the suggestions made in this discussion are good ones (I write for AssociatedConent.com), I'd advise looking into more "clipable" targets for establishing a career foundation. These sites are considered "vanity publishing" by a lot of editors and may or may not be considered usable material for clips if you want to persue something in the magazine, newspaper or newsletter (or any other higher paying market) in the future. I'm not discouraging you from getting practice using these sites, I'm merely suggesting that you focus on some real career decisions if you'd like to be a serious writer.

I write for Helium, Associated Content, and Gather. Gather pays in points that you can then exchange for gift cards for places like Borders and Home Depot. I think that Associated Content pays the best of those three sites. Good luck with your writing.
