It is my opinion, that some trends should have never been started, much less repeated. The beehive hairdo is one of them. I think that it is funny looking, to say the least. Although it does look nice on some women, it's not a do that every woman Can do.
Have you ever had your hair in a beehive do or maybe one of your female relatives? What do you think of it now? Would you do it again? Wasn't my era.

I think crazy hairdos like that look really cool... but I had no idea it was coming back into style! I have a lot of hair, but I have no idea how to put it into a giant beehive. I wonder what it would look like?

LOL the beehive era was way before my time but I would of loved to been in those days rockin one. I absolutely love Amy Winehouse who has her own sense of style and YES she does rock a beehive which I think makes her unique from everyone else these days. Its her personal choice of style..its works for her and her fans seem to love it too.

Is that who she is? I think that I heard something about her getting married recently. Like this week. I am so out of the loop. I just saw this picture in Entertainment Weekly Magazine and I remembered that the B52's had wore this style a several years back.
You are right it does work for her, but it would never work for me. Besides, I have never been much of a trend setter, anyway. If someone like me tried to get away with that, I would be laughed out of town.

I agree I wouldnt be able to pull the beehive off either, I wouldnt even know where to begin on that one. I always wondered how the heck they get it to stay in place...maybe alot of bobby pins and hairspray. I dont know

I think who ever started that was having a bad hair day, and they just put up for fun, and then everyone thought it was cool becuase she did. Which maybe it was a cruel joke but it don't look good on anybody I've seen

SSSSSHHH.....I was a teenager when the Beehive was in fashion in the 6Os. We would back-brush and back-comb our hair mercilessly. Then smooth the rest over the wadge of mangled hair, then apply hair laquer by means of a squeey bottle, which created almost a hard shell of hair and plastic, which would stay put for a couple of days, if you slept with a chiffon scarf and toilet paper round the creation. With clips and cellotape holding kiss-curls and fringes in position.
I got the hang of sleeping with a pillow rolled up under my neck so as not to disturb my creation!
NOOOOOOOOOOOO....I would not wear it again, although at the time, we thought it was the BEST thing since sliced bread. Aaaah sweet memories - lol
