For my first pregnancy I had one and everything went fine. So for my second pregnancy I wasn't worried about getting it a second time. Well, I ended up with a spinal headache and couldn't stand up for almost 2 weeks because it felt like my head was going to explode. Did you have an epidural? Did you have any problems from the epidural? I'm pregnant again and I'm afraid to get one this time.

I had an epidural when I gave birth to my son and I have to say that I was terrified of getting one. The needle stick, side effects, spinal headaches... I must have been one of the lucky ones because I didn't have any side effects and I couldn't even feel the needles! The best advice the nurses gave me was to get the epidural before the intense pain starts. If you are able to hold still while they insert the needle, there is a smaller chance of a spinal headache.

I had an epidural with my first and third [was only at the hospital for 45m with the second - was BEGGING for one but there wasn't time!]. Had problems with the first, but it wore off and my doc was horrid. No problems with the second. Plan on one with this baby in August.

I had an epidural when i was pregnant, everything went fine with me as well. I haven't had another baby yet, but we're going to try next year. I hope that everything goes well again, i'm sure this next pregnancy for you will go fine. Good luck, and Congratulations.
