Ok, big question: What do you use in the shower? Body Wash or Bar Soap? Washcloth or Scrubby (Loofah)? Do you think Body Wash gets you cleaner than Body Soap? What type of Bar Soap do you use? I used to use Body Wash and a Scrubby (looks like a big puff ball) but tonight I tried Bar Soap (Irish Spring) and a washcloth. My skin is tingling so am I cleaner??? Whats your outlook?? I use a scrubby and bodywash. I have several favorite bodywashes, one from Bath and Body Works and another that is just a WalMart brand ....but smells divine! I use a washcloth and a mild facial wash on my face. Hubby says that a recent study in his microbiology lab at the local college showed that the scrubbys breed lots of bacteria! Hmmmm. I'm sure a wet washcloth does too though. Supposedly, one is supposed to only use a washcloth and towel once then wash it. We would have way too much laundry here if we did that!

Me and my husband doesn't use a towel or washcloth more then once before we wash it. I use 2 cups of clorox in my towels to get them clean. I don't use a scrubby more then one time before it's washed either. It is good to use antibacterial soaps that will possibly keep down the bacterial growth. Since it's just me and hubby we always end up with one full extra large load of towels a week.

I have dark colored towels so I'd need to use colorsafe bleach to do this but it is a good idea for keeping the germs away. Thank you for responding! **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

That study makes me wonder if the scrubby's are like sponges...they say sponges hold alot of germs and bacteria too. Thank you for responding. LIVE IN PEACE

I use a bar soap and s scrubber while taking a shower however i use a face wash seperately to clean my face. I am not quite fond of a body wash may be because i have not used any. Would give it try and then decide.

I use a brillo pad and a wire brush. I have some stubborn body stains that can only be removed with heavy duty chemicals....actaully I am very simliar to you. I use either Irish Spring or Axe bodywash and one of those puff ball scrubbys too....plus scalding hot water. I'm in there for about a half hour each time

In the shower I use both bar soap and body wash. I use a scrubby. No I don't think that body wash gets you cleaner that a bar soap, because the most important thing to do to get yourself really clean is to scrub your skin. So I think both are good as long as you also use a scrubby loofah(well I don't know how you exactly call that in English) or a clothe. But I do think that a scrubby works better than a cloth. Take care twoey.

I've been alternating between the two so I have the best of both worlds. Thank you for responding. LIVE IN PEACE

I use a wash cloth and body wash. If I run out of body wash I will use my shampoo instead. I have a bar of soap in the shower, but I never use it. I don't even know why it is in there.

I've never resorted to shampoo but I have run out of body wash and used bar soap. We keep bar soap in the shower but that's for Hubby b/c he won't use body wash. Thank you for responding! **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

i like the good old fashioned bar soap, though sometimes i will also use the body wash. I don't use a loofah-scrubby thing though, i think those are kind of weird...i like to mix it up so i usually have both around!

LOL I never thought of them as being weird...I really like them. I mostly use my body wash but every once in awhile I'll go the bar soap and washcloth route. Thank you for responding! **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I use Bar Soap. I think is pratical to use Bar Soap and usually it is cheaper too. And I think that it cleans as well as the other types you mention.

I use bar soap and a washcloth. I use a special olive oil soap just on my face that I got from a place called dhc skincare. It foams up really nice and leaves my skin clean and soft, and it doesn't make my skin feel dry like other soaps and cleansing creams. For the rest of me, I use Irish Spring with aloe. I've tried different body washes, but they are hard to rinse off. I always feel like I've still got soap on when I get out of the shower.

Hi twoey. I use both since I take both showers and baths. I only use Dove products as it was recommended by my dermatologist because I have a skin condition called eczema. I have usually used a washcloth, but I just bought one of those Spinspas with all the attachments. I can't wait to try it out! I don't think you get any cleaner by using Irish Spring, it just has something in it to make your skin tingle.lol

My self i like to use soap rather then body shampoo. My husband prefered liquid gel body wash called Nutrilizer Gel. He always bought one dozen soap and one dozen body wash which last for several months. I prefer soap because i feel soap cleans better then liquid body wash .But the disadvantages of soap is you always has to keeep it out from excess water from turning soft. In my shower i like to scrub my whole body especialy my back using the long scrub towel.I usually scrub my body after soap,it makes me feel much more cleaner and fresher. I enjoy taking shower,i spend at least thirty minutes in the shower some time an hour. You must wondering why i spend so much time in the shower? I have to tell you, after i clean up my self i turn on the water until the bath tub reach to three quater full ,then add a few drops of relaxing oil into the water and soak my entire bodyin the water except my head ...what a relaxing moment! I hope you guys enjoy your shower too.
