How does egypt fair?

Is egypt a cheap place for the consumer on holiday there. Any information gratefully received.

I would love to find out more about Egypt as well, I like that the middle east area would be an interesting, scenic, and historic place for a short vacation, i would love to know more about other places such as Oman and Qater as well.
