Do you read

I actually get most of my reading done in the bathroom. It's the one place where I can get some peace and quiet (if I can ignore the sounds escaping my own body). I have a pretty large collection of books in each of our bathrooms. My wife thinks it's pretty vile that I sit in there and read.

I like to read in the tub. It is really the only "me time" I get. I also sometimes sit on the floor in the middle of the night and read so that I won't wake anyone with the light in the living room. There are my husband's magazines in the bathroom for perusal.

Well, I have also known that some people would read newspaper, novel, operating manuals of gadgets, etc. in the bathroom, while sitting on the commode. They think they are making good use of time. Some say, they cannot do potty unless they read something over there. I would not like to take a reading stuff to a toilet. If it falls there, it would not be good. I do not think I would save considerable amount of time.

That is a good topic, yes indeed i am one of those that keeps books and newspapers in the bathroom. I know it is going to sound strange, but this was the only part of the house that people did not bother me when i was reading, so it did become a weird habit. But it also has it's negative sides, there is no way that people are coming into my bathroom and coming out of it in short time, usually i do have to get them out. Lol. I must say that my friends also started enjoying this weird habit of mine.

I don't read in the bathroom, though I know that my grandparents used to keep books in their bathroom as well. My fiance sometimes reads in the bathroom, but he doesn't keep books in the bathroom.

I admit, I do read in the bathroom sometimes... I don't usually read books though, mostly things like magazines, newspapers, or I browse through a catalogue. We usually have some magazines in our bathroom or a few days old newspaper, though that gets thrown out after a while.

LOL...well yes i do read in the bathroom when i have my exam next hour and i am on d verge of failing..i take my book with me even when i go to the loo..

I don't but my boyfriend does. I think a lot of guys actually read in the bathroom which I find funny. I guess its a guy thing

oh,i thought it's only me who bring book or magazine to the toilet.when i was still live with parents my mom often said not to do that.and now i have my own place,i put books and magazines in the bathroom :))

I always read in the bath, as a bath is a relaxing treat for me so I like to soak for a long time with a book and a drink too usually! When I was little I remember that my uncle had bookshelves in his bathroom, so I always used to spend ages in there reading the comic books! I think if I had a nice big bathroom I would leave books in there too. Nice to have something for guests to look at to make them feel at home!

I remember when I was little I would see coupon catalogs and newspapers in people's bathrooms. Me, I don't have any reading materials in my bathroom. My 'business' is always extremely quick, I wouldn't have the time to concentrate on anything in that short time. Besides, it doesn't seem very sanitary to keep books in the bathroom.

My husband has this habit of sitting on the throne with a magazine or newspaper. I would always laugh at him on this but he would just say he was just making use of the time while in the toilet. Funny, I picked up the habit too because when he leaves the reading material inside, I would just pick it up and read it myself. It's actually fun.

I used to, but I was spending too much time in the powder room just sitting there reading. It's actually not a good habit to get into, because by sitting on the toilet like that for long periods of time, you could get hemmorhoids, and that just wouldn't be fun.

I have never been one to read in the restroom, I'm just not there long enough! I would no sooner sit down and open the book then it would be time to 'do the paperwork' and leave! It is not a comfortable enough seat to just sit there and read as opposed to the den! Ha!

I will read in the bath tub, but not while I am going to the bathroom!!

Yes, i often do, both while in the bath or on the loo. I don't keep any books in there though, i don't want them to get damp from the steam of bathing or showering, i just take whatever my current book is in with me.

If I am reading a book I will take it to the bathroom with me, so I can continue reading it but I do not leave my books in the bathroom.

I love to kick back and take a nice long bath to relax and for me that includes incense and a good book. I can spend hours in the water with a good book. Maybe I am part Mermaid?
