Paypal - Can we make payments from unvefied paypal a/c?

For example, if I want to buy something from a site, which accepts paypal, so can I pay them through my unverified a/c? Has anyone tried this ? Let me know. Thanks.

I would think so. Just to be sure, simply log in to your PayPal account, and ask them. You should find the help link at the top of the [page, and again at the bottom.

yes you can. I didn't have my account verified till about a week ago but I've been purchasing a lot on ebay even before that.

Ok, I thinl -ebay and paypal have some exceptional seting, so may be we can make e-bay payment thru pypal. but what abt other sites - have u tried other sites which aacepts paypal ? do they allow u to make payments if u r unverified?

You can't make payments without getting your a/c verified. Atleast not possible for Indians. Infact i don't think that you can make payments even to another paypal member with an unverified account.

I too have confusion about this and hoping to get solution from one of response to your discussion. for account verification they need credit card and i think in india its not in so much fashion yet. I have my account in HDFC bank i have verified it with my HDFC banks international debit card

Is that so, I was not able to get it verified thru my ICICI debit card though :(. Alsthough it had VISA logo on it, but still i got an eoorr msg, and they ask me to conctact my local bank customer care ..:(
