What to you makes a good Mylotter?

Hi yanjiaren. I am so sorry that you haven't gotten your 10 star rating back yet. You surely deserve it. I like alot of your discussions and I can relate to quite a few of them also. I will do what I can to help you get it back. I think a good Mylotter rates the discussions and replies to members who respond to their discussions. I think you can also do good by starting discussions that alot of other members can respond to and rate you on. I try to be very active also here at Mylot. I think you do a good job but members must not be rating your discussions. I try to be active to all of my friends and respond to alot of them every day. I know it is very hard to do sometimes, but I think it does help our ratings, especially if other members rate us positively.

i can relate to that yanji, it feels disapointing, specially when you are confirmed that your rating is at the whims of other users negative ratings!! i laways rate (ofcourse positive), response (with quality stuff to my best of abilty)and mark BR (to the deserved, sometimes i am perplexed as to whom to mark). i never violate mylot rules, abide by it religiously, i have some wonderful friends, who alone could be my urge of logging in here. i have reported once for he was being racila with unbearable hate speeches. cetainly, i love this place, we all do and i just forget my blues and daily drudgeries on visiting this place. let's make thsi one a more good and healthy one and our interactions a happy one to remember forever. love and hugs and lots of luck and peace in your life.

it is simple, read proper and give your answer perfect and from your heart, if u want to become good mylotter then u have to feel mylot from your heart, and enjoy it.

When other members rate you a plus. That is how your star will go back up. If you notice mine has been bouncing from a 9 to a 10 to. I noticed your discussions are long and thoughtful, you reply to whomever answers your discussions. Plus you make long discussion of at 3 to 4 lines if not more when answering other members dicussion. So, I can see you getting your star back rather soon. I always rate a plus to whomever discussions I answer and to whomever answers my discussions. Unless they voilate my lots guidelines. Good luck my friend.

I wish i can tell you what you must to do. I start with 5 star and after i get 10 I never lost it.I don't know how because I thing you already do anything I do here too. I mean ,I rate always discussions and posts,add always comments,some tags,response to my friend as much I can,and write more than 3-4 lines..I'm sure you did all these plus your English are better than mine.Also sometimes when I find some discussions so bad or out of mylotting rules,I post some discussions that I'm sure I gonna have a big - rate from the person who start the discussion so.... don't give up ,I'm very sure you gonna have the 10 star back soon.

you will get it,i am sure. i think you did a good job,and if you are asking for how to be a good mylotter,this is what i need to know from you.you are a good example. i think it is normal that not all people are agree with what you said,and you can't please everyone,just be what you are,say what you want to say,i like that way of you.

Well, i got my blue star back :-) I did nothing different then usually. Just returned the previous activity. It was lower some days. No changes in my style of comunication in fact. I think that my comunicative skills are good and this is very important here. To know how to find a good topic for discussion, to have own position without to be aggressive and attacking, to support the others and to keep the relation with your friends -that`s what i do:-)

Just be who you always are and do what u always do. i am sure that u will get your 10 back soon. Theres people going around rating people with a - just for the fun of it. I will help u out and give u a + though =)

I had a 10 Star rating and it went down to 9 star. I think I know what was the reasons. I started a discussion in mylot which I think some members were sensitive about. Thats when my star and reputation went down and stayed.

I think good myLotters don't ask anal-retentive questions like this that make people worry about comparing themselves and discussing the imaginary concept of "worth".

I guess i get what u meant.. But haven u heard about it before? I heard ppl saying that this do happens and that it will change back to the same rating a few days later... Its only a matter of time... Im not too sure of the exact situation... BUt yah, jus keep posting? Dun worry too much ya... =)

What makes a good mylotter? hmmm....a member who starts good discussions that give the rest of us something to actually discuss...that's you....someone who has something to say when they respond to our discussions...again...that's you...a friend who can also be a friend off mylot...whao...look...again it's you! You do a great job and the only reason I could see for your rating going down is that I haven't seen you around much...but that shouldn't affect your rating should it?

I have already went through your previous discussions and gave you many pluses. I think you will need more members to help you. I think our star rating really depends on the posters who will rate you positive or negative. Avoid getting into confrontation with anyone. This also happened to me before and my star went down to 9. Obviously, someone rated me negative.

Hi yanjiaren! I am sorry to know that you lost your 10 rating. I am 2 months old here but am not much of a regular though i have a 10 rating. I cannot even think of stepping down. Wish you best of Luck that you get back your rating and retain it too.

I don't think the starts always represen who is a good mylotter and who isn't. I think there are some tens that ought not to have them, yet they do anyway. I have seen others that have sevens and it seems as though they are being targeted. I always rate any discussion I respond to, and it would have to be really outrageous and against guidelines for me to give a negative, but I don't think it is the same for everyone. I think some people don't bother doing ratings at all. And I think others go out of their way to give negatives.

I think that starting interesting discussions, particularly those that a lot of people can respond to, definitely improves the site and makes you a good MyLotter. I haven't started a ton of discussions yet, but since I don't do that, I try to leave good, thoughtful, well-written comments on other discussions. Between those two things, I think I'm doing a good job to help out the site, and that makes me happy.

Hi, dear yanjiaren, i am a freshman here , so i can't understand your situation completely . i also want to make a good my lotter and now i will respond the sicsussion positively . hope everyone can be happy from mylotter.
