Over The Top??

To my dear friends and neighbours,
I come to you today asking you for some piece of advice. Actually more like help to ease my mind. I know you may seem a little worried, so don't think that.. lol. I'm not in trouble! It just that after posting new discussions I find that some of mylotian friends and neighbours answer my discussions with a well deserved best responses. But, usually what happens now is that there's more than one. So I was thinking that maybe instead of just giving that one person a best response. I would also give them an extra token. And the possible should get just the token even though they didn't get the best response.
Your response to this dilema will be helpful in my decision. Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated!

I think we all like to be recognized for a job well done, or a phrase well turned. I know that in some of my discussions I have gone in and told them that I would have liked to give them a best response as well as the one I chose. I also have had to tell people who commented on a response that if they had made it a response instead I surely would have given them best response. If you have a token to reward, I think that would be okay. We have another friend who does that. We do get some really great responses, don't we? I find a lot of good information, and good friendship here.

Very true GG, I was thinking I would have been a good idea considering I have come across a lot of really good response aside for the ones I chose. In fact I'm going back to some of my older discussions to get things started.
Wiz, is the other persona that does this too, although my reward is bigger than his. I'm not in competition with him. He only started the trend with me in a way. Thank wiz where ever you are!

Yes, the idea is sound and I Ok it. The question is, "How would you give this 'extra token'?"
I do not think there is any provision at myLot to provide any"extra token" to anyone. Then, how do you plan to give?
And what good would this 'extra token' do to those people? I think you must tell what you have in mind about this scheme that you are thinking of.

Oh my Norstar, there is nothing crooked with the extra token. which i have personally chosen. At first i thought about in this manner. If i were to get three people who gave in my book a "best response". Initially I would mark best response for the first person and / or "token"... then the other two would get just a token. For their opinions/ comments. Or I could give the first "best response" and possibly the other(s) a "token" each.

well all i can suggest is what I do. I dont give a best response until there has been no new responses for at least a week. After that I will re read them all and pick a best response. As a token, I award plus ratings to every other response I receive that is more than one line in length. I hope this helps you in your dilema
