do you think the world is getting a better or worse place ?

It depends on how we're going to view it. One thousand years ago, humans did not have cars, computers, and other sophisticated technologies. Humans had to work harder when doing simple things (i.e., washed their clothes, cooked their foods, etc.). Humans also had to go months or even years from one place to another place because we did not have cars, buses or other transportations. They only used horses. One thousand years ago, humans might also be cannibals each other. There were also wars among tribes. The same thing happens now. In terms of morality, humans might be better in 100 years ago than now. Family relationship were also stronger in the past than now. Currently, people are more individualistic toward each other because of advanced technologies and different values compared with those of the past. The rates of divorces, morality, compassion have been decreasing more than ever. It is indeed so sad. I think technology is the only thing that makes the world is getting better. But unfortunately, our Earth is NOT much better because our environment is more destructive than ever in the past.

i am a bit confused, because all the new things which are being made in the world can make the world better place (if used correctly) and worse place (if not used correctly). but personally i think that it is becoming worse because the crime rate is increasing in many places. and also because USA is trying to attack many innocent countries and trying to disturb the peace of the world.

based for my own observation, the world becoming worse becaseu of people living with.The war is exist of each country.And right now we here in radio,tv the war between iraq and usa.Lebanon and israel.And also we have now global warning of our nature is polluted and need the help of people.I hope someday we have peaceful world,and love each other.
