I'm creeping up on my 100th post and I was wondering if you get your star with a 5 or a 10 or a 1? Or does the system track your ratings for your first 100 posts and you get a start based on those? I haven't seen this question or the answer mentioned so I thought I'd see if anyone knew. I'd be awfully sad to post that 100th response and discover that I have a 2 or 3 but I think giving folks a 10 to start their "career" here would be misleading if their previous posts have been rated down for rudeness or other reasons. Does anyone remember what they had for a rating when they first got their star?

I started with a 6 in my star. That was ok. The number in the star is how many people out of ten have rated your discussions or replies positv. 9 is 9 people out of ten rated you positiv. For me it was 6 out of ten positive votes. This is quite good for a beginner and there is alway space to improve.

Thanks! I was pretty happy to see that my star came up with an 8. It doesn't make any difference, but it's nice to get a little pat on the back. I'm glad to see that your star is up to a 9 now, too.
