I read about the impact of global warming in orissa day before yesterday. Over the past 15 years, the sea has entered the land by around 2.5 kilometers. Also, there was another article that i read recently where television actors were talking about the steps they are taking to combat global warming like not using excess water...saving energy etc etc...don't know if that can actually do something. one should definitely conserve energy but there is nothing much an individual can do about global warming. it can only be fought with delligent efforts by nations coming together. i am really happy to see the popularity of interesting concepts such as clean development mechanism where one nation can trade its reduction of greenhouse gases that cause global warming with others. the commercial viability of this concept would ensure that it becomes popular.

Global warming is a real threat but many people are not serious about it. The primary responsibility to deal with threat rests with the governments and big industries. We individuals should also help the best way we can.

Each one of us can make a difference. In some way, directly and indirectly, each one of us is polluting the environment and contributing to the causes responsible for global warming. To recognize that the threat of global warming is real and to discuss about is also making a difference. So, keep it up.
