never! In fact it makes me furious. Where I live there is a very low unemployment rate, there are more than enough jobs for everyone. My husband is a manager and can't find enough people to work. There are more jobs than there are people who want to work. All the beggars at least in my city are only there because they don't want to work. We have good social programs here any no one needs to be on the street unless they want to.

i have given money to beggars in the past..but not anymore..i realized that it would just encourage them to be beggars forever since they are getting money doing that..nowadays, i usually just give them food..especially the children..i just feel bad for them actually and would really want to help them as much as i can..it is just frustrating since i could only do a little for them..

Hello funnycole
I do give a money for beggar, but I usually look at the person, they are really a beggar or they just want money for fun.
Once I saw that someone give them bread for eat, but the beggar didn't like it and ignore the bread. I really don't like it, because they beg not for eat but for something else like money for buy something, even they said they hungry.
God bless you

Before I used to give some alms for the beggars but when I have noticed that they use it to abuse those people who shares their blessing. Now whenever I saw one, I never give them a peny instead I give them food. I think its much better than money.

Now, I don't give any money to young beggars.
Someone posted two pictures about beggars and old people online several days ago. The old woman does a living by pick wastes such as bottles and papers, and a young man kneels down behind a paper on which say that his family is poor he can't go to school anymore, so he wants to people contribute some money to him.
Lots of young men kneel down in the streets to beg money. Frankly, they are just a team, they can earn lots of money everyday. And they can go to some expensive restaurants that ordinary people can't get in.
So now I just give money to some old beggars.

Yes, you are right about it being a business. I live in Los Angeles and recently a radio station placed a fake beggar with a help me sign at a freeway onramp and in a mere 4 hour show the beggar collected over 90 dollars.
