What makes a good mother?

I think a good mom is someone who is there for their child no matter what.There's no such thing as the perfect mom but as long as any mother tries to raise her child the best she can..well then that's a good mother in my opinion.Motherhood is about trials and errors.You just have to see what works and what doesn't.

I wish I was a better mom. I'm not sure what makes a good mom. My mom is a good mom, but she hasn't always been....I think I mom like my mom momed.

Good mother? Good question! In todays day and age those answers come in a wide variety...there are so many answers for what a good mom does...and doesn't do. You can also define a good mom by the things a good mom used to be 10 to 20,or even 50 years ago. Being a good parent takes many ways,and teachings. We can't just have a child and poof we are a good mom or dad,we grow and learn right along with the child.Yes mistakes are made,but blessed we are when they are not too BIG. A good woman is described real well in Proverbs 31:10-31 Amen

To put it simply, a good mother is one who puts her child's best interest first, before her personal discomfort, before petty hangups, before selfish desires. A good mother is one who will sacrifice in order to give her child the best if need be. A good mother makes decisions that are right for her CHILD, not "what works for ME." A good mother learns from her mistakes, and does not let guilt and pride prevent her from moving forward and making necessary changes in her parenting style.
