what does the speaker implied saying as your friend?
would that make any difference i meaning if the speaker said as a friend?

YES...."using as YOUR friend" is more persuasive...it has an appeal to the emotion, for the speaker uses "OWNWERSHIP"...the approach is more personal.
While using "as A friend" is more general, giving only a concept what a friend is. no personal touch.
