Do you have a backup plan to meet your friends here if

I have a backup plan with a couple of my friends here as they are on my instant messenger list but my other friends I do not have an alternate plan. I would love to keep in touch with my friends here in other ways, like email or instant messaging. I am also a member of numerous social networking sites which are free to use and do not involve making money. I would certainly miss my friends here if myLot went down for some reason.

Actually, no I do not. That is an excellent idea. There are so many wonderful folks on myLot that I would certainly miss. I so enjoy stopping by each day and interacting for a while! Some always make me smile, some make me realize that my life is not as bad as I think and others simply are just awesome and make me appreciate life!

The few that have become 'attached' have shared their emails and I have with them. That way no matter what we can talk to each other. There is also a site where we can discuss all things Mylot especially our deleted discussions. It is not hard to keep in touch with like minded or those that you really like. Good luck with your friends that you make.

I haven't been here that long yet, so I doubt I'd really have such an effect happen to me. Although it is something which I experienced in communities I have been part of for a longer time which suddenly shut down, especially when meeting again in another community it's like meeting a long lost friend again.
