With Phoenix and Dallas out, the team with the best regular season record, San Antonio could go all the way. They have the best perimeter defender in Bruce Bowen. Tim Duncan is a good post defender too. Their chemistry in defense is so good. They are clearly the favorite to win this year's championship. What do you think? Can the Jazz stop the Spurs? Or will an underdog Eastern Conference champ could win it.

I think it is going to be the Cavs and the Spurs in the end... The Cavs are doing very vert well in keeping up with Detroit.. since it is now 2-1 the Cavs will win again at home on tuesday, then win in Detroit, then it is back in Cleveland to win it all for the championship round

seems the spurs have the bigger fanbase huh?
LeBron James has his own fanbase,....
...ow??watever ,... for me,..the teams who wants it the most should win the crown,...
..and for me,..it's the spurs,...although some may say that the cavs are the thirstier team,...the spurs also have that pride that they don;'t really wanna lose against the cavs,.....
Manu is the best

I can't predict who the champ will be, but I can predict who would battle for it...Pistons vs Spurs. It will be a great matchup, and will continue their 7 game encounter 2-years ago. their series in 2005 was great and i think they were then so evenly matched that another series is necessary to determine who's better. But the Pistons then was under Larry Brown, a championship veteran coach. Can Flip call the shots in the championship as well as he does throughout the regular season and playoffs? If he does, then we'll be looking at a 7-game championship series. I just hope their series would have no scene similar to the Spurs-Suns where key people were suspended damaging ( alittle) what otherwise was tremendous series.

You're right, Flip is a joke. No matter how good his team is, he just can't seem to get that team to where they are supposed to be.Both this year and last year's Pistons lineup are solid and championship calibered teams, and yet they fell short each time. Larry Brown stirred virtually the same lineup against a Lakers team composed of Shaq (at his prime), Kobe, two hall of famers in Malone and Payton, and most importantly against Phil Jackson! Pistons should get rid of Flip and bring back Larry, he shouldn't have left in the first place. Now with the Spurs meeting the Cavs, i don't think the cavs have a chance. Lebron can't win this by himself like he did in Game 5, the Spurs are different. and no other player in the Cavs is safe from the Spurs defense and pressure. Spurs in 5 if not a sweep.

Good prediction. Lebron too much for Pistons...er too much for Flip. the Pistons are good, Flip is the problem.

you're right...the spurs have duncan..they also have the ever improving tony parker...start stopper bruce bowen...very flexible manu...and they also have finley and big shot rob coming off the bench...just with this it would show that they indeed will be the next nba champs.
But with the east slot still in contention and james showing some spunk in the endgame..they might still pull something off and meet san antonio in the finals. the big difference will be...who will they put on duncan...
you'll never know...in this playoffs...anything can happen

With four teams left and the Spurs being the team with the best regular season record, I think they are on their way to win this year's championship.

Obviously now it is just the Cavs and the Spurs. Tonight is the second game and the Spurs won the first one. I called Spurs in five when I was talking to my dad. I think LeBron will pull one out, but like I said, just one. You can't beat the Spurs defense 4 times like the Cavs need to.

After seeing the first 2 games of the Western Conference Finals, Its likely that San Antonio will be coming out of the west. They simply outclassed the Jazz despite boozer putting up huge numbers. The Spurs simply have an answer for everything utah comes up with. When utah made a late rally, the spurs did not panic and simply executed their plays down the stretch. bruce bowen became a factor in the second half of game 2 hitting clutch 3 pointers to offset the jazz rally

The Spurs will come out of the west but don't expect boozer and the jazz to just hand it over to them. In the east, its cleveland or detroit its really hard to tell. King James gives the pistons all kinds of matchup problems but if the pistons can somehow contain him, they'll be coming out of the east. NBA championship will be between the spurs and pistons

yes. Spurs. They have won the nab Championship three times. With Phoenix and Dallas out, the Spurs is the team with the best regular season record. The most important thing is that they have TD, who plays excellent and stable.
But I am afraid that LJ will set up a big threat to them.

I don't like LJ. He's a great player but his character isn't. I've read an article about Duncan. Duncan was posting up asking for the ball, Parker threw it out of Duncan's reach. But Duncan claimed responsibility for the bad pass. That's why I like Duncan. So humble.

After watching Game 2 between the Cavs and the Pistons, it was deja vu. Final score was 76-79 in favor of the Pistons. The difference though is that James ATTEMPTED the shot NOT PASS IT UP. Now, I expect more to criticize LeBron's crunch time decisions. This is getting unfair IMO.
Game 3 will be for the Cavs. They just have to exectue with precision during the dying minutes of the game.

For me, it could be the Spurs because of their awesome defense. Same goes to Detroit! The Cavs have a chance though against Detroit. They pushed Detroit to seven games last year. IMO, the Jazz can't stop the Spurs. Tim "Mr. Fundamental" Duncan is too much to handle for the Jazz. Now, a Spurs- Pistons rematch would be boring though.

The Spur will beat the Cavs in 5 games to win the championship. Tim Duncan will get another Finals MVP.
