EDM? I think the projects you said are IDM, Intelligent Dance Music, Braindance, not Electronic Dance Music
It's so random, but it's very complex sound, i love Aphex Twin, the super genius of the e-music, Boards of Canada with their Ambient music are really good for chillin
I appreciate and recommend IDM for everyone who's into e-music

My favorite labels I go to for electronic music nowdays (I prefer to call it that, there are too many subgenres nowdays) are Rephlex, Planet-Mu, and Kompakt. Rephlex is owned by Richard James aka Aphex Twin and a lot of the artists on the label are releasing some really good stuff. Bogdan Raczynski of Rephlex fame has to be my favorite electronic musician out there right now. His japanese break/dnb/old school computer sound is really interesting. If you are looking for some really good artists seriously check out these labels, there is so much out there it's hard to describe.

Boards of Canada owns. I also really like Air and Zero 7 for chilling, they have a little more tangible substance the the ambient space of BoC. Amorphous Androgynous/FSOL is amazing to me too, it sort of got me into new freak folk. It's worth a listen if you can find any (try http://fsol.disenchanted.com/).
