Are piercings sexy to you or just plain disgusting. When do you think a person has gone to far in expressing themselves with piercings and tatoos. I Personally have a tounge Ring and I have had many job interviews state I was not allowed to have the piercing. Even jobs where I wasn't facing the public. I personally think expressing your self with piercings and tatoos is pretty interesting. Most people I have met with several piercings and tats are extremly smart and interesting too. Unfortunatly I've seen to many people look down on others who express them selves with body art. So when do you think a person has gone to far with the Body Art

I don't have any body piercing or tattoos on me or in me, if that is possible, but I do believe in freedom of expression. Yes, society might discriminate you, but what matters most is that you're true with yourself and most specially, happy with what you are. Maybe your looking for the wrong jobs. I don't think your personality will fit in a company that does not allow body art.

I will admit my pierings have caused a few issues when it comes to a job. In my opinon its a shame people look down on someone that is very intulectual due to the way they may look. What happen to the whole equal oppurtunities concept. equal oppurtunities were not just ment for diffrent race. It was ment for a variety of reasons so why should body art be any diffrent. I'm a guy with a few tattoos, that an interviewer won't see, and a pierced ear. I think it is personal choice, like it is the company's choice not to hire you. I once I didn't get a promotion because I had long hair. If you want to work somewhere, you have to play by their rules. Similar to living at home, your parents make the rules.

When it comes to self-expression, it isn't possible to go too far. As long as you still feel good about your work, then it's all good. I have three piercings in one ear, two in the other, an eyebrow ring(never wear it), tongue ring, and a navel ring. Also three tats. And I've never regretted any of them.
