This is so bad. I was walkin down a busy road yesterday and felt somethin sticky underneath the sole of my shoe. Everytime i took a step I could feel somethin sticking. Though, I could not stop and see what was it.
I reached my friends place and realised it was a "Bubble gum" stickin on my shoe sole. And, I felt so so yuck.
In India...... there are many people who would chew their "chewing gum" or "Bubble gum" and just spit it on the roads......... is'nt this so disgusting.
I know some countries like Singapore where chewing a gum is banned. This is a nice way to tackle this menace of crazy people spitting it on the roads.
Do you also spit your bubble gum on the roads ? Have you ever experienced a gubble gum stickin on the sole of your shoe.

i seem to always be able to find a piece of gum to step in...i am always digging it off the bottom of my shoe. for me i save the wrapper and when i'm done chewing it i stick it in the wrapper and put it in my purse or pocket until i can get to a trash can. it drives me crazy stepping in it so i don't want anyone stepping in mine.

This is really bad of people doing this. You are right. Not only chewing gum all sorts of things are thrown in the street assuming it a dustbin.Even if dustbin is there people seldom go & throw things into it.It has really become like a bad habit of people specially in our country. It is such a irritation.Neither i chew gum nor throw things into the road.Even if i do i make sure to plce into a dustbin.I hope everybody would do the same.

I must have stepped on one like a hundred times in my life. It's annoying and disgusting! I myself isn't fond of chewing gum. But when I chew a gum I usually keep the wrapper and if lose it I'd find a paper to wrap it, and if I can't find one I would never spit it just anywhere but in a trash bin. I too have heard that it's banned in Singapore and I wish sometimes we implement the same law in my country.

It should be banned here in Australia. Generally bubble gum spat on the ground is very frowned upon here.
However,a lot of teenagers do it, & ill bred people.
I have experienced bubble gum on my shoes, & it's hard to get off.

i have experienced some incidents with bubble gum remains before, sticking to my slippers, to my shoes, to my skirt, to my bag and even to my hair! these people who eats bubbles gums are so irresponsible, inconsiderate and so careless. they do not only spit them on the streets, they stick them on some seats or, even on the leaves of some trees. and when it gets to stick on somebody, they find it amusing. those unthinking persons, they can really get to our nerves. the most number who do this are children. undisciplined children. although bubble gums are not popular commodities from where i live, the few irresponsible consumers of it, can cause havoc in our lives.

I have to admit I have done this from time to time. If I am out and no trash can is available, I try to throw it in the bushes or out of the way. I know how frustrating stepping on gum can be. I'm sure we have al done it at least once. I will try to remember to be more thoughtful in the future.

No, I do not spit my gum out on the roadway or sidewalks. I generally put the wrapper either back in my purse of my pocket. When I am done chewing the gum, I wrap it back up in the wrapper and find a trash can. I have stepped on hot, melted gum, usually in the parking lot on my way in to work. And, it is nasty, I am usually worried about any diseases that people might have that could transfer to me through the saliva on the gum. I know, I am weird, but that is the first thing that comes to mind. My son knows not to spit his gum out, too. He and some of his friends thought it would be cool to spit it out the car window. I had a fit!

There is an old myth that if you swallow your gum it stays in your system but gum is just like food it digest just like all the rest of the food you eat.spitting it out on the ground is not only disgusting but also carries your DNA.

It is a kind of public nuisance in silence. I rarely chew gums, when I chew I spit on the place where nobody can step.

I cant stand bubble gum. I dont like my kids having it, either. As i dont have it, i dont spit it on road, but if i had it i would make sure i put it in bin. I can still remember when i was little and i was wearing my favourite dress. I got in the car and the seat was hot, so i stood on the seat for a little while then sat down again. Well, i had trod on some gum and it was on my shoe and it ended up on my dress. It was ruined. Mum couldnt get it off, and i was so upset. Maybe that is why i dont like it
Cheers
