Lady, do your tummy hurt during menstruation? Any good methods to prevent?

One of my best friends tummy hurts badly when she has a period, do you have any good suggestions to prevent from it? Thank you in advance.

Yes,I have a lot of menstrual cramps,every first or second day in my period.My period doesn't last long like a whole week or so.But still it hurts so terribly that I couldn't move myself and I couldn't do anything.What I do is,I usually avoid taking medicine for this purpose,even a lot of medicines are available for this,I simply massage my stomach with hot/warm cloth for hour or so,or drink hot milk and try to avoid cold things like ice cream or cold water.Cold things makes the pain more worst.Drink hot coffee if you like,or just wash your stomach with hot water.It will make you feel better.Avoid medicines though.

Thank you for response, I think you are so lucy that your period doesn't last long. My fried's situation is similar with you, she couldn't do any thing as well, it hurts terribly. I will advice her to do what you said, it must be workable. Thank you very much.
