What do you think of folks who come to mylot only to advertise their programs...that is they never introduce topics for real discussion but only put in their links for you to join..
I actually saw someone start a topic with a link to their program and someone replied by putting a link to their program!

I would say those who see no harm probably do what I have a problem with..and as I looked to see your two topics..I was right!!!!! I give you a + as everyone who gives their opinion in a very nice way gets one but it's true ...if you are making money on something else go for it..I can tell you from experience I stepped out of mylot once for something that promised alot and got taken big time..

I agree since you know they must not be satisfied if they are doing other things on the side;)+

People who leave a response with only with your referral link & no actual response to the discussion at hand to get people to join, they are breaking the MyLot guidelines. I usually report things like that. The only time it might actually contribute is if someone starts a discussion asking for other money-earning programs. This type of discussion is in a grey area, because there is a special MyLot interest of "Make Extra Money."
At times, people do start a discussion in "Make Extra Money" saying "I found a great money earning program" & give a referral link. If that's all the person has as discussions, I report them. If it's someone who has steadily started a lot of good discussions, & then has one of those, I would usually leave it alone.

You are right there is a time and place for everything ..even money making links..but not in a topic that doesn't lend for it..It's important to keep focused and not run off topic;)+

Well I knew a moron like that on mylot. He invited me to his friends list. I thought he wanted to know me better. He also added me to his Yahoo!Messenger. We chatted for a some days. Soon I realized he had all the time wanted me to join his programs. That sucked. :( I immediately deleted him off my list and blocked him, in case he sent me spams!! hah!

i feel they should be reported to mylot for doing it. Also I feel they are quickly banned. However, in the short time they are here they may well get a couple of referals. The best way to defete them is to ignore them all and pass everyone on to mylot, if we all do this, they will soon be gone
blessed be

I think some people feel obligated to respond to such since they are on their friends list..but I dont think friends should be looking for you to earn them more money!

I agree that just posting affiliate link after affiliate link is not really the right thing to do. Even when I have a link I want to post, I will start a meaningful discussion.
I mean, isn't that why myLot made our profile pages so customizable? If you want someone to look into a program, post the links on your profile page, write some good discussions, and let us come look ourselves.
Although I consider all the join this, join that posts spam, I was informed by another mylotter that posting links was "encouraged" in a post I made last week called "Spam, Spam, Spam.
But, what are ya gonna do? We'll just have to see what develops, won't we?

You've hit that nail squarely on the head! When I see responses like that, I go ahead and give them a negative tick. It's funny, when I first joined myLot, there were very few of these type postings and responses, but they have just grown exponentially in the past couple of months. I think the only reason they are still so prevalent is all the petty bickering myLot is having to deal with. I won't really go into it, but I heard some people were permanently banned because of the bickering and how far it got. Maybe now that it's settled, myLot will have time to get rid of the spammers.

Those types make my blood boil. It is againest mylot guidelines first of all. Secondly, it is that type of post and reply that is watering down myLot and making it not as much fun as it used to be. Those folks each earned money for posting against the guidelines, which means that the folks who posted a quality discussion earned less! I mean the money is distributed equally amongst all the posts...so it only stands to reason that the more posts, the smaller earning per post. No problem by me if they are all quality and done by the rules. But, it ires me when so many are just folks squeeling for referrals.
