I turn on my friendster, surf on new stuffs from my friends, check my horoscope (yeah! ha ha!), see the birthday list and then just go to the address bar to type in another website.
Of course, seeing the details above, I don't log out. ha ha! Yes I don't log out. Since I am at home, using a personal computer, I don't log out.
If I am on a computer shop, I will automatically log out. I don't want somebody or anybody to of course, take some time to delve into my private pages!
Here in mylot, while searching on the keyword "sign out" and "logout", I have seen people saying that they can't logout. Before starting this discussion, I tried to logout and I have done it successfully. Now I can't think of a possible cause for them not be able to logout. Oh well..
now going back to the topic.. do you sign out? not only here iin mylot but also in other sites like friendster, myspace, tagged, multiply, blogger and the likes..
:)

I don't log out unless there is a specific reason I should, it doesn't seem to be needed. I can't see any problem with leaving it on logged in, there doesn't seem to be any reason not to now that I think of it. I have mylot set to my homepage so that when I surf the net I can see how much I've made. I find it to be much easier that way, it works for me.

It depends on the site - mylot I don't bother signing out because I'm usually in and out several dozen times a day. Most other things I do sign out though.

You sound like me, I live online pretty much. I've even gotten upset and confused on the rare occassions when someone or somehow I got logged out of mylot.

Usually if I don't plan on going back to the site again after visiting it, I will log out of it. If I plan on going back to it after surfing around a bit than I will stay logged in until I am done for the day. But than again I also keep that page up on it's own tab, so it's there when I am ready to go back to it.

It's always been a habit of mine to log out of sites after I am finished. That was developed when I had to go the library to get online, and it just stuck with me even now that I have access to the internet at home. Plus I know that leaving yourself logged in to sites it takes up some server space, it may not be much, but I just like to log out so that way it frees that space up for someone else to log on and have the best experience possible at whatever site I may have been on at the time.

I don't always log out unless I know that the computer will remain on and will be possibly used by another person. Most of the time instead of logging or signing out, I will just slose the browser because that usually logs you out automatically.

yes I am also bored to sign out and sign in again and again. Whilst using my personal computer so why not enjoy the benefit of it right? he he! lazy me. but in cases like my e-gold account or any other accounts that really needs to be logged out, I do it just for safety measures. :)

Well, when I first read that you do not sign out, the thing that first came into my mind was you are only at home and there is no other person using the computer but you. And ha! I was right. Anyway, going back to the question, it became my habit to log out even in I check my mails, friendster, mylot here at home. I seldom use the internet shop. I do not know, but whenver I am done, it becomes and instict for me to automatically log out whatever site I am in. :) Anyway, be careful when you are in an internet shop, and forget to sign out. Haha :) I have a friend that once told me that he left his friendster account signed in, he is in a computer shop. The next thing he knew, his profile in friendster has changed. Anyway, it was just good to share this with you.
And about other people not seeing the sign out sign here in mylot. It would be impossible to miss it. I mean, there are only four corners of the monitor that they have to look at. Haha :) I just do not know. But, I think it's really impossible. Maybe those people aren't looking hard enough. So much for my talking. I think I have said what I have to say. :) Take care

I signed out or logged out only when I went into some secured and confidential sites.
Otherwise, I will just close the browser. As for myLot, I do not logged out. It is easier to get in later on from email notifications. I hate it when I realised that I am not logged in after I posted the response. However, I auto clear my browser cache after I close my browser.

In my opinion, I think it's really important to log-out our accounts after we use it.
If you don't log-out, hackers may have the chance of terrorizing your account.
Even though I use my own computer, I always make sure to have the habit of signing-out, and clearing all the cookies after I use the internet.
There's a great cookie-cleaner software called CCleaner.
You can download it here:
http://www.divshare.com/download/471468-9db
Also, you must have a very good firewall to protect yourself from hackers. The most popular firewall nowadays is the ZoneAlarm Firewall.
Download it here:

Have a nice day!

It is better if you always log out from a public computer for example on the internet cafe, computer laboratory, or another public place, because it is so dangerous if we leave our data in a public facility, to minimalize the risk we need to log out after we log in into pur mailbox, and another private account, but if we use computer at home i think it is no so worry but don't forget about the attack from outside so complete your computer with anti virus and also firewall.

Yes I usually sign out. But usually platforms would base it on cookies anyway. Since I clear my cookies and everything upon browser exit, I am covered either way. Just a habit.

Hello, mskzalameda ,I do not always sign out,it depends on which sites I am browsing, for mylot,if i am using it at home,i do not sign out so that i can be able to get to mylot straight away when i switch on the computre next time, but for other account like email and banl account ,i will always sign out so that i will not leave any cookies in my computer. It is safer in doing so.If i am in the public computer,i will definitely sign out everytime,no matter which sites i have visited.

Me too I don't log out. I just think that closing the internet explorer page is much easier and is the same that looking for the logout link that can be placed in different areas in the websites that I visit.
Me too I use the internet at home and I'm not afraid that someone can use my account. So I just leave the page on and when I am done or want to make room for other pages I just close the page.
I have seen the logout link on mylot but never used it.
