Given a choice of better career prospects in a foreign land than in own country, where would you love to work?

if there are others who will like to go abroad for work, there will always be others who will opt to remain and work at the home country. this is human nature. while there are some of us who are adventurous, there are some of us who are contented to stay at the place where we are.

From my personal experience I can say that, those who leave India they always repent. They miss and only miss India. May be other countries give more money, but believe me, their is no happiness, their is no peace of mind and there is not any kind of satisfaction that we felt on the soil of India. I will advice all those who under-grade India and think that foreign countries are better, not to make such a mistake. There is no other country like our India. Don't leave it and make a mistake like I made. May be personally we are not present in India now but deep inside our hearts, we are completely Indian, and will die Indian.

I too agree with you as i have many friends who have left india and now they are dying to return back. No doubt, you might earn a handsome amount of money there, but you cannot have the same amount of respect you get here in India.

I have spent the last few years working in both India and the Philippines as there have been some very good opportunities for me in both these places. I am currently living and working in India and plan to be here for some time! It would be better to have a solid career back in Australia because my children, family and friends are there; but at this moment in my life, being overseas is the way it is!

If my family can go abroad with me, then I will choose to work overseas. Otherwise I still prefer to stay here. Leaving family is a sad experience and no matter how much I can earn, it can not give me the true happiness.

i want to work in foreign land. there are four reasons: 1, the salary in foreign land is higher than it is in my country. 2, i can travel in a foreign land freely, i like travelling very much, but it is hard to apply a passport for travel. if i work there, then i can know more about the country. 3, i can learn new technology, then i can get a better job when i go to my country. 4, i can make friends with foreign people, it is funny.

I'd stay with my own country, the USA, only because we do seem to have a lot of jobs here, even though people are saying there are not enough jobs, I do believe we have a lot of opportunity here.

If I were given the chance to choose, I would rather prefer to work in my own country. I am quite satisfied with my job here. I like my life style and everything in my place. Other than my family and relatives I have got lots of friends here. We often have our gathering in different places to have our interesting activities regularly.

it is ok to work in your own country for your career if the country is blessed and will pay you well according to your qualification and duties at work.your asking if i have given a chance to work in other country well i usually says yes and i want to work in UK,as of now in our many people are leaving just to work abroad to earned money to support for their families..every country has a problem or crisis facing we people need to do hard work for our success and for our loved ones.i choose UK coz i know they pay workers well eventhough expenses there is expensive still you can save money for the future.

for me, it is fine to work whether in my own country or abroad, in a foreign land as you describe it here. what is important is that i can always have the choice to come back to my country at any time that i wish to. working abroad will still be doing service to my family and my fellowmen. if i go to a foreign land to work, it does not make me any less of a person nor any less of a citizen of the country from where i was born, grew up, studied and been molded and honed properly.

if I have the choice,I will choose my own contry.because I do not like changes, and if I choose to work in foreign land, then I must adapt to the new condition.and there is another reason, that is working in my own country,I can take care of my parents.

Hello there. I do not mind working overseas for 1 or 2 years to gain experience and to increase my exposure. The idea of living in another country for 1 or 2 years to experience life is great. If given the opportunity, I would like to experience working in countries like England, America, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. However, I would want to come back to my own country Singapore to work eventually. No matter what, i would miss my friends and family here. I could not bear to leave them here and work overseas for long term.

Although I love to travel, I prefer to work here in my homeland. With my learning and education I want to use the same here and also because of the close affinity we have with the family, its better to work here in our place. Of course greener pasture can be gained in foreign land but to me my family, my country and my friends count me more. But I also would like to travel to other countries to learn more, to know their culture and if ever to see what I can copy from there to be used here in our country.

Hello Ranjeetkolarkar :) I would rather stay and work in my own country. I believe I can achieve my desired level of income here if I work hard and smart enough. There's no place like home, I'm very happy to be with my own people. Take care :)
