Desperate Housewives Season Finale- please explain!

I haven't really beeen watching Desperate Hosuewives this season, but I happened to catch bits and pieces of last nights episode. I was totally baffled at last night's ending. What happened between Edie and Carlos?

When he went to go pay the paperboy, he found the birth control pills and noticed that she has been taking them, when all along they were trying to make a baby. So she lied and got caught. I am really surprised that she will be off the show, did not see that one coming, unless someone will come in at the last minute and save her. I guess we will have to wait till next season...and I love what Mike and Susan did, they are good for eachother....hope carlos gets back with gabby.

I thought it was a great show! I knew that Brie wasn't really pregnant from the beginning. It is the perfect cover.
Gabby and Carlos will probably end up getting back together.
I can't believe they are writing off Edie~ I bet someone saves her.
The only reason Carlos was with her was to have a baby together. I really didn't like her when she was trying to trick him.

I loved Bree and the whole fake pregnancy thing.There was an episode where her fake stomach got stabbed so she and Orson pretended it was a party/magic trick.Ha,that was so funny.
