You do not need a lot of money to care for your parents. It was my turn to care for my father and grandmother. I have to work hard in our family store to make money for their monthly subsistence. Thank God I have found ways to make money to support them in their old age. My father went in and out of the hospital. My grandmother was also aged.

I think that there are some very important things I would do for my parents:
I would take them to get everything medically checked out, if any problems were found I'd have it fixed. ( aside from incurable desieases) After all of that was done I'd take them to go house shopping and get them a decent house they could grow old in. I'd find them a good car, one that would take them everywhere. ( they've never had luck with cars) I would make sure that they had a maid, and a medical person that they could call on at anytime. I would also set up a really good life insurance plan for them, and buy they're burial lots off for them. I think that i'd like to buy my mother art supplies to take up her love for painting again, and I would buy my dad a bunch of electronic gizmo's cause he's always like them. Most of all I would take them to do things that they've never done before, because i know that I don't have much time left with them. I want them to have a great retirement, and want them to have a wonderful life. They haven't ever really had an easy life, so I will give them that.

I would turn the tables on them and care for them for the next seventeen years of their life the way they did for me during my first seventeen - the wouldn't have to worry about food, clothing, shelter or anything else like that. It would be as though they were my newborns as of that day.

I would buy them a very nice house and completely paid of so that they could live mortgage free, i would then give them a heafty sum of money in a high interest account so that if they were sensible wwith it they would never have to work again.
I would no longer make them cups of tea if they came to visit though .... i'dd have my butler do it! lol
