I read in a book that happiness is not only the good luck for fortune, but also the capacity for enjoyment. The children surely have stronger ability to find fun than adults, because they know how to enjoy the little things in life. And the adults usually get consumed diminished, worrying about all the things that need improving, they can easily overlook the pleasure they get from loving and being loved, the company of friends, and good health. In my eyes, happiness is not something we are wishing for,but ourselves. The more we can enjoy what we have, the happier we are.

I definitely agree. I don't know if you've read Antoine de Saint Exupery's The Little Prince but at the beginning the little prince explained to the narrator that the problem with adults is that they've lost their sense of imagination because they're too busy being adults. This post makes me want to go back few more years and enjoy life as a kid! Now as we get older we have more responsibilities and more are expected of us, we rarely have time to stop and appreciate life and the happiness of living it. But I do believe that no matter how busy we are, happiness is a state of mind and if you make yourself believe that you are happy and you don't focus on the worst things in life, then you are happy and no one can stopy you from believing so. Awaken the child within! :)

I agree - you need to look out for the 'little' miracles in life. Happiness is about a choice - a choice to be happy, and ignore things that cause you worry or any other negative emotion. You need to focus on things that make you happy- the rising sun, the cool breeze, the blooming flower, all these are so many triggers for joy.
But as people grow older, they start realising that not all their dreams can come true, and this leads them towards a negative outlook in life. They start looking at the darker side, which is of no use at all, but to help them fail more easily.
Happiness is about enjoying what you have, rather than envying others for what they have, or pitying yourself for the things you missed. God blesses each one of us in so many ways, that we all can be happy all eternity if we count our blessings
