Hey guys I was just wondering if it is just me or are some of you like me too? I tend to have short bursts where I scarpbook alot. Then I will stop and start up again. I dont know why I do it because if you keep going you will stay caught up. For a very breuf time I was currrent. Now I have more pics to work with but I cant seem to find the motivation to do it. I think summer time is another reason there is so much to do. Somebody help motivated me! PLEASE!

i have short bursts because sometimes i run out of paper. then i have to wait till i have time (and money) to buy the right coloured paper.
sometimes i stop because I've finished what i wanted to do. but u sound like you still have more to go before turning current. i guess if you really enjoy it you can look at your photos and think - how lovely if these were in a scrapbook, all organised! another great way is to go online and look at gorgeous scrap gallery samples. try this place www.madewithlove.com.sg the gallery section inspires me!

yup, I run out of adhesive real fast too! You use the acid-free type right? I recently decided to buy the refillable one, after using up 3 rolls of the non-refillable type within a few months. Figured i should do my part to recycle and not consume so much plastic!

I do the exact same thing...don't feel bad. I don't know how to help you, because I don't know how to help myself! Lol sometimes when I have a ton of pictures it feels overwhelming to me because I don't know where to start. If I were you, I would sit down and make a list of things I need to do, and ideas. It may help you, and it may not. Either way, good luck, and happy scrappin! :)

I'm definitely like that...I LOVE scrapping but sometimes I'll go through periods of a few months where I just wont' think to do it or won't feel insprired enough to do it...then sometimes, I'll do it everyday. I think it just depends on how many ideas I have and how creative I feel.

I have bouts like that. Now with my kids home for summer break I think it's gonna be worse. I have 1/2 my wedding album done (got married in 94) and started it 3 yrs ago. Started a medical book on my 3 yr old w/her heart condidtion and then off course the 10 yr old boy I have his started, my 8 yr old girl I have started, and then a regular one too for my 3 yr old. Trying to do one on Holidays/family and then a remembrance one for family members gone to Heaven. That way if I get "locked" on one I can goto another one and try and it's not working that way for me either. The hardest thing on the medical one is what I want to put on the pages and trying to find things I want to use. Were behind bad so I have to use what i have. can't print anything either due to running out of black ink.

I do too. I'll get bursts where I'll do several pages in a couple days, then go a few weeks where I do nothing. I'm never current on my books, but I don't think I ever will be until my kids are gornw. LOL
I get most of my motivation by looking at other's work. I see a cool layout that I like and get excited and want to do something similar. That always gets me started.

I don't scrapbook right now, but I certainly have plenty to work with. I alternate btwn a great many crafts and projects.
This wknd alone, I started and jumped btwn 2 or 3 knitting projects! Enough to get my hubby to ask me - "Are you going to finish anything?" Hehehehehe - he's been watching me knit little bias squares on the way to and from work for weeks now. I have 48 to finish. Then I start on some other squares for the KS tornado victims and then I started on a knit drawstring purse.
Last week it was my poly clay and jewelry. This week it's a sewing project for the boat. I gotta have that one done by Thursday!

Don't feel bad,I'm the same way. Whats motivating me right now is to get it done before I start back to school. This summer is hectic for me too cause we are moving. :P I hate moving with a passion.
I do want to get caught up on my daughters scrapbook bfore I got back to college and I think thats whats motivating me.

I am just like this. I get those times when I get all into scrapping and it takes over the place. then other times I have to wipe off the dust and try and catch up. Thats the beauty of hobbies. They are not jobs and mandatory. They are creative outlets for when the mood strikes. If you are really hard core into staying on top, try and set a goal of doing one page a day. One page at a time slowly builds up and sooner than you know it you will have a book already finished.
