For the longest time, I've wondered what Penafrancia truly is. Though i have a slight idea of who Virgin of Penafrancia is, I really don't know what the whole event stands for.
In line with your post, I just have several questions, if you don't mind.
Is the Virgin of Penafrancia equivalent to Blessed Virgin Mary? If not, how do they differ?
What normally happens during the Penafrancia festival? How did it come about, in the first place?
Every when is the Penafrancia festival celebrated? How long does it last? Where is it being held?
I hope that you could answer my queries so that those who'll be participating in this discussion will be enlightened more as to who the Virgin of Penafrancia really is, and what the Penafrancia festival is all about.
If I'll be available, I may probably visit Bicol and perhaps partake in the Penafrancia festival to witness how gloriously joyous it truly is.
