Ok, so I am having a hard time coming up with a good idea for a graduation gift for my ex brother in law. He is graduating from high school next weekend. I have been in his life since he was 4. I still keep in contact with my ex mother and my exes younger brothers. They were like my own kid brothers. I dont want to overstep my boundaries, but I do want to get him something and he did invite me to the graduation. Any suggestions?

if you truly have great feelings for him - you know like he was family then continue to treat him as though he was family. I would think too much about over stepping any bounderies - he invited you because he cares about you as well. I am a big fan of giving photos. Try to find a photo of him when he was 4 or when he was younger and then a recent picture and frame them together....to show him the growth he has made so far in his life. This would be something that he could have forever :)
I mean you could always give him money, but it will be spent and forgotten. Go with what your heart says and dont worry about anyone else. Have a good time.

I usually give about $25.00 . I know when they get out of school they will need if they go on to collage , I know may son used his for supplies , it helped him out his gas and food , I think that helps them out more then anything , I don't think you can over do it by giving them money. Hope this helps out , and a great card to go with it to .
