If you eat over the sink, do the calories count?

My mom always told me that if I ate my cookie over the sink, the calories don't count. I am not actually using a plate or napkin. Because of this in her mind, it was a dinner or a snack and therefore no calories. I have also heard that if you break the cookie in half, all the calories fall out of the middle. This is particularly wonderful. What do you think?

Yeah, we have lots of wives tails....... For example: If you see exceptionally fuzzy wolly worms in the fall, your winter will be very cold.

I agree with some of the others, needless to say, if the eating while standing didn't count, more people would be doing it....
My mom always told me you should sit when you eat, it helps to digest the food. But, she never said the calories didn't count. If that were true, the diet industry wouldn't be as big as it is today...

Yeah... though my mother is very wise, alas, I think this one doesn't quite cut it. It would be pretty rockin' if it did though.
