The Ford Emblem

Can anyone tell me when the Ford emblem changed from the original with one fin on top and bottom of oval to the blue oval. I'm a digger operator in New Zealand and over the last week i have excavated two early model ford rims with excellent hubcaps on them. Both rims have wire spokes. One with two layers of two spokes crossing over. The other with three spokes crossing over in one layer.

My husband is also a digger operater in New Zealand. He digs up stuff all the time...old bottles is his main find. I will have to ask him if he has an answer to your query tonight...
