Tonight I'm making boneless BBQ pork ribs on the grill. I'm going to serve my garlic and onion green beans with them. I got some smaller potatoes, much like salt potatoes. I'm not sure how I want to prepare them. Do any of you have any simple and easy I could have my potatoes tonight?

I like them on the grill too. If you slice or dice them, it won't take that long. Especially since they are small. And if wrapped in aluminun foil, they will heat quicker. If you are already serving garlic and onion green beans, then I would leave the potatos unflavored. Except for maybe some salt. It would seem that the flavored green beans with the BBQ ribs would be enough for one meal. Good luck

I diced them up quite small. So that should definitely help. =) I actually did used some onion powder along with garlic powder. I'm a huge garlic fan! haha But even a little salt, pepper and butter would probably do nicely. I'll keep that in mind for the next time. =)

They turned out really great. I used garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, paprika, parsley and a tiny bit of cayenne pepper. They were GREAT, haha. Unfortunately for you, we ate it all. Next time. =)

ok here is my quick and easy potato recipe that makes them a bit different par boil the potatoes in their skins then leave to cool. Peel the skins then cut in to quaters. Boil up the water. Once you have a rolling boil, blanch a quantity of spinach in the water for no more than 30 seconds then drain and squeeze the water out. Cho[p in to bight size pieces. Now, in a pan fry the potatoes in a minimum of oil, mix with the spinach, now add 1 tea spoon of corriander, 1 tea spoon of cumin and salt and pepper to taste. great tasting and substantial enjoy blessed be

Interesting. Sounds like they would be different. I'm not a huge spinach fan unless it's in soup but I may try that sometime. Thanks!!

Ahh, ok. Being fresh spinach would make a difference. I will have to try that way in the future. Thanks again!

Oooh yes!! Whenever we grill meat on the grill, I also put some 'packages' of potatos on the grill! Take some sheets of aluminum foil. Give the sheets a shot of Pam or similar product. Either cut your potatoes into little cubes or slice them in thin pieces (cross wise). Put a serving of potatos on each piece of aluminum foil. Spritz w/ spray butter or put a dollop or two of margarine on them. Sprinkle with spices of your choice. I use rosemary sometimes, other times I use parsley and garlic. Lemon pepper is good. Paprika and garlic are good. Whatever spices you like! Fold up the edges and seal your aluminum foil! Place these on the grill. They are delicious!!

I was thinking of doing the packets. I have not done it before but have always wanted to try them like that. If I cut them smaller they should cook up quicker. How long do you usually grill yours for?

Packet Potatoes Recipe This is a super easy side dish. Perfect for grilling during summer or preparing ahead for anytime. by wannabecook 3 medium potatoes 1 small onion 2 cups baby carrots 1/2 cup sun-dried tomato dressing 2 tablespoons water Preheat oven to 450. Wash potatoes and cut into fourths. Wash and slice onions. Place vegetables in center of 24 ince long piece of heavy duty foil or use a double layer of regular foil. Drizzle with water and dressing. Bring up foil sides, double fold top and end to seal packet, leaving room for heat to circulate. Cook for 20-25 minutes until desired tenderness. Cut slits in foil to release steam. Open packet and season with more dressing, if desired. Note: Grill time should not vary much from cooking time.

I love roasted potatoes. I also love leaving the skin on (it's good for you), so that makes them even easier to prepare. Here's what I do. -Wash/scrub outside of potatoes. -cut into pieces...this can vary on my mood, or how long I want to wait for them to cook. Smaller pieces cook faster. If you have small, bliss sized potatos you can leave them whole. -Get a zip top freezer bag. Put washed, cut potatoes in bag. -Add olive oil and spices to the bag. I like salt, pepper, garlic powder, thyme, and paprika. -This is the fun part....close bag and shake to fully coat taters in oil and spices. -Dump your taters onto an oven roating pan, and bake at 350 till done. Hope you like them!
