Should a non-politician rule a country?

In my country, so many people believes that politics is the fastest growing business and so they want to rush into it. Even people who have little or no knowledge about politics are finding one way or the other to rule the geographic region. As for me, I believe there are other things people should concentrate on instead of running into politics. there are agriculture and techs. to deal with but unfurtunately, those in power are finding one way or the other to put all their family members into politics. Please i want your own opinion. Is it really a good idea for non-politicians becoming an overnight political leaders or is it a way of life? Please say something about this issue.
