i love rice. Black beans and rice is my favorite dish. I'm going to try and send you a link. I have made a few of these rice dishes and they were good. The buttery garlic one was great.http://www.hillbillyhousewife.com/ricerecipes.htm

Sometime i like my fried rice with hotdog or sausages and eaggs. First of all i heat up the pan and saute the onion, when the onion turns slightly brown add the beaten eggs into it and add in the hot dog or sausage (cut in quater inch thick). Add a tablespoon of soysauce (for 2 serving potion rice),and a teaspoon of oyster sauce. Then add rice into it and stir fry for aproximately 5 minutes. And you are done,it's very delicious most kids will like it. I hope your kids will like it too.

My daughter had an interesting idea for rice, cook the rice (we like sticky rice the best, usually found at the farmers market, but recently I've seen it at Kroger and Walmart...it's in a white bag with a red rose on it, BOTAN and some Chinese letters at the top and on the bottom it says Calrose rice), set aside, brown some ground beef, drain, add a can of corn or two, when heated, serve over rice with soy sauce, this is something even my picky 9 year old eats. If you try it, I hope they like it. Good luck.

My kids like plain white rice, sometimes they like the red sweet and sour sauce on it. Sometimes, I will slice up an orange and mix that with the cooked rice, served with chicken or beef. I also like to add a package of onion soup mix (the dry kind), cream of mushroom soup (you could use any cream soup) and a little milk to dry rice (about 2 cups). Bake this for about 2 hours, covered, in a low temp oven. (about 270) It comes out so moist, and yummy!!! Fried rice is another great way to serve it. My kids do like fried rice. Another poster put how to cook that one, we make it the same way. Make sure you start with cooked, cooled rice, though, before you fry it. It will get pretty sticky otherwise. :) Good luck, and happy cooking!

I'm not so sure your kids will like this but mine do and they are very picky eaters. I make minutes rice and add cream of mushroom soup to it. My husband being Puerto Rican says I should tell you about the rice he makes. Also minute rice or even regular rice if you have the time. Add tomoato sauce and corn beef hash. Hope those help you out some.

The last time I had rice I put together about 3 cups of precooked rice of your choice, a can of drained black beans, a can of drained mexican corn, and bits and pieces of chicken. Season with 2 teaspoons (Or to taste)McCormicks Roasted garlic & bell pepper. It was really good. The rice was precooked. I had cooked and froze some.

Well, we usually cook our rice in several ways. I love to have a fried rice which added with different kind of things in different time. We have our fried rice with the salted fish, fried rice with dried shrimp paste and fried dried anchovies with red cili pepper, fried rice with a chicken or beef chunk, fried rice with mixed veggies, fried riced with shredded fried fish etc. We also cook rice in spices and beef, mutton or chicken which we called Bryani rice. Hey, I have a nice one for your kids mostly. The hot plain rice mixed with some margarine and serve with fried chicken and fried egg. Serve hot, the rice will taste creamy and nice.

We used to eat rice a lot, but kind of got out of the habit. Usually we would just put butter and salt on it, but my hubby has been searching around and found several sweet and sour recipes. He'll make up one of his concoctions and serve it over the rice. The nice thing is that it'll work well with just about any meat, if you eat meat as a main dish.

One of my childrens favorite ways to eat rice is when I mix it with some homemade chili. I will take half a green pepper chopped, some chopped onion, dice a clove of garlic. Saute these up in a little bit of oil until vegetables are tender. Add a can of crushed tomatoes, chili seasoning, and about 2-3 cups of already cooked rice. Stir and heat throughly. You might have to simmer it a little while to reduce the liquid. I like to serve it with some shredded cheddar cheese on top.

I think this may be familiar to you. Ever tried Chicken Rice. It is pretty simple. Ingredient are chicken stock (same amount of water for rice), pinch of salt, 8 slices of ginger, 5 glove of garlics, 3 stalk of pandan leaf (optional). Chicken rice goes well with fried chicken, chicken-ala-king or any other dishes.

Well I love regular white rice, and I like mexican style rice too. I have no problems with regular rice as long as I put either some sugar on it, or some butte something to give it a little bit of flavor. I love to have my rice with plenty of spice. I like rice in taco salad sometimes or in burritos. Oh yeah and I forgot rice and gravy is good too.

I like mine stir fried with peas and carrots, onions and soy sauce. Then I pour in some beaten eggs and stir that all up really good. I pour a sauce on it like hoisen or a Thai peanut sauce. Sometimes you can find a package of spices for stir fried rice at the grocery store. Sometimes we have it for breakfast with milk, sugar and butter.
