Fuel prices increase around the world and if we need to substitute fuel for our transportation mean, which do you think is most effective?
I don't much how these two cars work, i don't how much do they cost. If we will use between hydro powered car vs. solar powered car, which among these two will be cost effective? Which we can save more? What are the benefits?

As both of these systems are in the devopement stages, perhaps having prototypes, but a long way from being mass produced it wouold be hard to say which would be the most efficient. However, if the hydro powered vehicle continues as they are now, they will be powered by hydro-cells of which the cost is not definite, but could be more substantial then petrol is at present. The basic benefit would be environmentally friendly. If the solar powered vehicle is nearing the production stages they are keeping it a big secret, but it would definitely have a cost advantage over the hydro in operation. What is available right now is the hybrid vehicle--being gas electric powered. These are on the streets now and are proving to cut emissions and at the same time are easier on the pocketbook at the gas stations. The only drawback on them at this time is that they are slightly more expensive to purchase, but most governments are offering tax incentives to offset the difference.

Thank you for the info. As for the solar powered vehicle, do you think is it more dangerous compared to hydro powered vehicle? As i thought solar powered vehicle might be have high voltages due to multiple batteries which store the energy to be used for consumption.

I have recently read an article where India is strides ahead of other countries in the developement of hydrogen/hybrid cars. So perhaps we are on the edge of a breakthrough in this technology. How long it will take for this to reach our American markets is another question.
As for safety, I believe that there are certain risks involved with any type of transportation, that we must rely on the developing engineers to have applied the safest application of their developement.

Hi a_ce_e, I dont really know what is hydro powered car. I know a little bit of solar powered car. If we have the option, probably the most cost effective, save more is the solar powered car. I dont know much about the benefits though.

Hydrogen powered car are run by 100% pure water as fuel. By splitting water by electrolysis and creating hydrogen/oxygen gas, you can replace gasoline. Check out this website. http://www.waterpoweredcar.com , pretty cool i am not aware that other car manufacturing companies are already building such. BMW already has as shown in the picture. To compare this with solar powered car which is more cost effective, i don't know yet.

I think solar power is better. This becoz we can get directly its source from the sun. So it will be cost effective. But do you ever hear about biofuel. This one is an alternative for petrol. Biofuel are derived from biomass. Biofuel are currently significantly less carbon nuetral than others form of renewable energy. For more visit this site. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/biofuel
