Wives have you ever lost you wedding band? How? Who to replace it ?

Have you ever lost your wedding band? Well this has been my misfortune twice not only once. The good thing though is that My Husband is always there meaning have never lost him. The first wedding ring was lost while swimming so I used a heirloom ring as a wedding ring and recently that too disappeared off my finger. I have no clue how. Do not remember taking it off but I did wash baby clothing by hand so I assume it may have slipped off. I am praying to find it since has double 'sentimentality'. Now it feels awful without that ring on. I have gotten so accustomed to having a ring on that I continue to reach on my finger to play with it then realize it is not there. So should I replace it myself or should my husband do so? Have you ever lost one,how does it feel and who replaced it?
