Nights out- STUDYING!!

I am in a premier engineering college in India and would like to share some daily occurences with you. My semester exams just got over, WHEW, what a relief. What I wanted to know from you guys is how do you study for exams? What most of do is start the day (but usually the night) before the exam and cram all night lonh interspersed with bits of sleep and then go have a crack at the horrendous paper set by the lecturers. Are your study habits the same or do you study regularly throughout the semester and have a well planned schedule to stick to?
